Whitney Houston - How Will I Know (listen)

There are certain moments in life where you never forget where you were when you learned of something.   I remember where I was when I found out Princess Diana had died.   I was 12 or 13 I think, and I was supposed to be asleep but I was listening to Dr. Laura on a tape deck hidden under my pillow when they interrupted the show for a special news break.   I had a habit of keeping a blank tape in the tape deck so I could record songs off the radio, and I immediately hit record as news came flooding in.   The same thing goes for where I was when I learned of Michael Jackson's death.   I was at a shopping/fashion event in NYC and suddenly a lady called out "OMG Michael Jackson just died!" and people all reached for their phones and some started crying... these events leave indelible marks on us.

As such, I will never forget the circumstances and surroundings when I learned that Whitney Houston had died.   There is a huge gaping hole left by her passing and I don't think there will ever be another singer like her.   Her voice, her talent, her story.   Every time a legend dies I realize more and more that I have to make an effort to live every day to it's utmost and stop stalling and see all of my favorites live in concert!
Listen to this, remember the good parts of her life, and honor a true talent.
