Rapper Nate Dogg Dies at 41

I got an email early this morning that Nate Dogg had passed away, and I was going to blog about it earlier but decided to wait a little bit to see if the entire story would come out or not.   Nate Dogg was only 41 years old, but he had suffered health issues, and they don't really know yet if his previous issues are what caused his early passing.

So you probably think you don't know who Nate Dogg is- but if you listened to music in the last twenty years you probably loved his stuff and didn't even know it.   He was part of a group called 213 with Warren G and Snoop Dogg and his vocals on the Warren G song 'Regulate' is a radio staple for it's genre. Come on you know it- 'Just hit the east side on the of the LBC on a mission trying to find Mr. Warren G, Seen a car full of girls ain't no need to tweak all you skirts know what's up with 213'

Fine, so you think you still don't know who he was?   Guaranty you know this song because EVERY person knows it- it's Dr. Dre's Next of the best hooks on a rap video ever (almost- and the other ones that could beat it are Dre or Snoop Dogg anyway!)   Best song to drive too...and he was nominated for a Grammy for this song and for regulate- besides you definitely know this line that he sings 'Hold up...Hope you ready for the next episode, Heyyyeyyyeyyyy...smoke weed everyday"
