X-Men: First Class - watch the trailer

I just had a whole conversation about Marvel, DC, and which comic superheros belong to which family and who knows who.   It was very enlightening and now I finally get it, sort of.   I am looking forward to the next installment of the X-Men movies and understanding all the different characters really   helps.

Now that James McAvoy is joining the cast as Charles Xavier I have even more to look forward to- he was great in'Wanted'.   You know- the one with the curving bullets and the magical healing wax bath...oh yeah, and Angelina Jolie.   There are a lot of new mutants joining this fifth movie, played by some of the newer up and comers like January Jones, Rose Byrne and  Jennifer Lawrence to name a few.
20th Century Fox has finally unleashed the first trailer for "X-Men: First Class". Offering a taste of what to expect, the sneak preview at the prequel of the "X-Men" series takes the focus on James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as young Professor Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr. It also gives a peek at some of the mutants.

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were the best of friends, working together, with other Mutants, to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. But, in the process, a rift between them opened and hence the eternal war begins.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, "X-Men: First Class" is the fifth installment of the "X-Men" film series. Joining James and Michael in the cast ensemble are Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult and January Jones among many others. This superhero film is set to hit theaters across the United States on June 3.

When talking about the title of the movie, producer Bryan Singer told Los Angeles Times, "Let's just say there are some things that do adhere to the comic books and do so in a way the fans will get a kick out of. And those things can, perhaps, move forward into the future... That's one reason we wanted to call the film 'First Class' even though it isn't the [Jeff Parker-penned story arc called] 'First Class' in the comics as fans know it."

"You couldn't really tell that story without going even earlier and explaining how they got there and how it came to be. I liked the title, so we kept it, but this is a prelude in a way that will eventually lead to the [scenarios] that fit in more clearly with the 'First Class' comics and situations."
