Does Billboard Like Britney's New Video?

They don't actually clarify if they like the video or not, but here's a bit more of an explanation about the video.   I missed that the screens were showing all of her past videos- I only caught the one reference to Hit Me Baby One More Time.

Britney Spears' 'Hold It Against Me' Video Debuts

We've heard the single, seen the daily video teasers, and anxiously awaited the premiere of Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" music video. At long last, the Jonas Ã…kerlund-directed clip for the first "Femme Fatale" single premiered tonight (Feb. 17) at 9:55 PM EST on MTV and VEVO. Check it out below:

The video opens with a comet invading earth's surface, and Spears is quickly shown on a video set, mingling with half-naked male dancers while camera capture her every move. As the tempo changes during the chorus, the pop star is shown in a huge white gown, rising through a cylinder of video screens that display her past music videos.

The highlight of the "Hold It Against Me" clip comes during its dubstep-inflected breakdown, where footage of Spears shooting multicolored fluid out of her fingers is intercut with shots of the singer physically beating up a clone of herself. The video closes with an extended choreographed dance sequence as Spears sports the sexiest of the video's outfits: a tight black dress with leather gloves and boots.

Spears shot the music video on Jan. 22 and 23 after the single -- which was produced by pop hitmakers Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, Max Martin and producer Billboard -- was released on Jan. 10 and hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 in its first week. Beginning Feb. 4, the pop star previewed the clip by posting seconds-long video teasers each day on her Twitter account.
