FOX

"It's a very difficult thing to take something you've done for eight years, almost two hundred episodes, and try to find a story that's going to be unique," he says.

Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed a 24movie is in the works - and shooting will begin in eight months.
"It's a very difficult thing to take something you've done for eight years, almost two hundred episodes, and try to find a story that's going to be unique and yet service the history of the show as well," he tells Extra (Sutherland played government agent Jack Bauer on Fox's critically-praised 24; the series ended in 2010).
In the meantime, Sutherland is set to star in the  Broadway revival of That Championship Season, which follows four former high school basketball champs each going through a mid-life crisis. He shares the stage with Chris Noth.
"Four men dealing with a sense they're no longer relevant," Sutherland explained of the play (performances at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre start Feb. 9.)
Sutherland also will star in a new web seriesThe Confession, premiering on Hulu in March.
