Footstickers ....yoga 'shoes'

I am not an avid yoga fan...mostly due to the process of contorting myself into unflattering positions in public.   But, if I were to get into it, I am not sure these would heighten my sense of self or lessen my insecurities...does anyone use them- and if you do, can you let me know what they are like?   I do have close acquaintances who are slightly obsessive yoga addicts...

    and direct floor contact, etc. In this way you are more grounded and more aware of your feet and
