Back to Cali... Part 3

The gas stations out here are called "Kum'n'Go" and it struck me as hilarious as I motored my way across Nebraska today- I know, immature get over it- but it's funny!

Looong day today. Drove through many Iowa and Nebraska fields (I didn't notice till I got out to refill gas, but it SMELLS so bad- like manure....phew!) In Nebraska the towns had wind generator thingies with their names on them:

And this random sculpture can be found at a tiny rest stop on the side of the highway near Kearney, Nebraska! Such a small rest stop- only bathrooms and a map- and then some art in a pond! Go figure

Another sunset (I am a little obsessed)

I saw a rainbow today and tried to get a pic of it, but it came out like clouds, no rainbow, so I gave up.

Tonight I am in Denver, Colorado and it is actually a beautiful big metropolis of a city! Downtown looked super cool as I drove by it earlier. The hotel is sweet (Go Starwood!!!) and I look forward to a good nights sleep.

Today the music was a little of everything- Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Britney, and some Enrique Inglesias.

There are a few songs that have come up as themes for this trip:
"California Calling" Enrique Inglesias
"Going Back to Cali" Notorious B.I.G. (and yes, I know all the words)
"I Drove all Night" Celine Dion
"Brave New Girl" Britney Spears

and... the winner theme song is:
"Moving Right Along" Kermit and Friends (The Muppets)
you can read the lyrics :
or watch it:

I am exhausted! Tomorrow I need o either drive 10 hours and stop over in Vegas or just go and make it 14 hours and get to LOS ANGELES!!! We'll see how the driving goes....
